Well, the event is over, and since no one described how it went,I thought I would go first,so let's get it on.
For starters, the event wasn't what most of us had in mind, but at least most who signed in showed up,and these are the members who were there:
Me,Nate,Gamer,Deacon and Amin.Later on Hrvoje came and stayed for like one minute, then he mysteriously left.
We started by doing the Fox n' Jaguars game mode,Nate was the fox and we chased him for like 20 - 30 minutes,no one caught him,and we decided to move to another game mode since that one had began to get really boring.
Then we switched to a Hide and Seek mode at the mall with no nametags and no radar, that seemed like a great concept, everyone agreed to play it,so we did.
It was the very usual series of events you would expect from us: Spazzing, spamming with other cheap weapons (M60 and molotov, grenades, rockets and the likes) and we kept doing it almost until the event was on the end.
Then you ask: If everything went well, why can't you call it a great event? Well,I said we kept on the hide, seek and kill game ALMOST until the event was done, people left when there was still 20 minutes left, and the rest of the event didn't go very well.
Amin had to go because it was 00:30 in his country, but that's understandale.Shortly after Gamer and Deacon left too,I have no idea why they did it.
And Gamer was kind of a disappointment,he kept watching us do the event things almost all the time and didn't participate much,he just kept talking with a friend of his,who shouldn't even be there.Other thing I can't understand is why Hrvoje stayed just for one minute, the event wasn't even half finished when he came.Maybe he was busy with his party.
Besides,we didn't do much,it was just one game mode and a half,we could had planned things better on this one.
But just because this was a below average event,it doesn't mean it didn't have it's highlits:
It was a fun to chase Nate on his car even though most of the time he had one of the fastest cars and it was hard to catch him,but along the way some crazy and memorable car crashes happened there.
Another moment that deserves mention was when Nate got a tank in the mall and declared WW3.That's something you don't really see everyday.
So basically, this is all that went on in these 1:40 hours we spent on the server trying to make a decent event.I say,we have learned a bit from this event, like:
*You gotta understand the rules of the game modes, because it takes time to explain it to you, time that could be spent on actual playing.
*Me,as the host, learned to split time better for the events so it will be more even/balanced,not like 15 mins for an event and 30 for another one, well, depends on how fun it is,I also learned that time is valuable and if I paid more attention and people hadn't left before it was actually finished,we could had tried at least 4 game modes.
*If you signed in,it means you signed in to play the event, not to watch how it goes or talk to random people who join (other people shouldn't even be there).I'm looking at you now,Gamer.
*Lastly, and very importantly, don't leave before the event has finished please, unless you got a pretty good reason.
So in the end,we look at the good and the bad side of the whole thing.
On the bad side, this was half assed event that could had been different.
And on the good side,it had it's small share of good and humorus moments, and we also learned from our mistakes and are able to do it better next time, even though this was our 3rd event.
So this is it,if you didn't participate on the event and felt a little bad on the inside, take my word for it: You didn't lose too much.
And that was pretty much it,see you guys next time,I'm looking forward to make a better event with the help of everyone.Whatever we do,let's not commit the same mistakes again.
